Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Masters of Science in chemical or mechanical Engineering.
15+ years of engineering experience and/or project management of offshore oil and gas facilities.
P.E. License registration preferred.
The Facilities/Process Engineer is to be familiar with all engineering and design requirements for projects, including client provided specifications and all applicable codes and standards. Requires knowledge of codes and standards associated with oil and gas production facilities and equipment installations (e.g. API, ANSI, ASME, NFPA)
Duties:
Performs and leads engineering design from feasibility study to detailed engineering.
Conceptual engineering for brownfield field or greenfield offshore developments for compression, process facilities, and marginal development structures.
Familiar with upstream process gas sweetening, gas treating, methanol recovery system, gas refrigeration systems, crude oil systems, separation, compression and subsea well tie backs.
Manages and supervises a team of engineers assigned to a project for Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) and Detailed Engineering.
Manages and supervises the design of related process and utility systems.
Works and communicates with project management and engineering team.
Review of drawings and other engineering documentation for compliance and process requirements, codes, and standards.
Prepare technical specifications for purchased equipment.
Coordinate and interface with equipment suppliers.
Prepare technical evaluations of supplier's proposals
Perform process simulations and develop process flow diagrams.
Perform heat and material balances.
Perform sizing calculations for process equipment, piping, pipelines using company developed tools or Process simulation software's.
Specify and select process equipment.
Develop P&IDs or mechanical flow sheets.
Develop engineering reports and associated spreadsheets.
Perform troubleshooting and/or de-bottlenecking of existing facilities to optimize production.
Prepare project specifications and process equipment specifications, data sheets and bid documents.
Review data sheets for instruments and specialty items.
Coordinate procurement activities.
Review and approve vendor quotations, drawings, and related submittals.
Develop regulatory submittals (e.g. MMS, USCG, and ABS). |
