PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER
Responsible for cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, and planning/scheduling activities for a small to medium size project, or for discipline/project/proposal estimating or staff planning activities that require a high degree of technical skill and experience. Directs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities and schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, impact identification, and recovery plan development activities. Directs the preparation and presentation of on-project estimates and cost forecasts.
Supports project organizational and administrative activities.
Provides generally non-routine cost engineering/planning and scheduling guidance.
Identifies, analyzes, and provides innovative solutions to cost engineering and planning/scheduling problems.
The Project Controls Manager will be responsible for providing technical and operational supervision to the Project Controls staff. Preparation of Project Controls Execution Plan, Project Controls Procedures and coodination of the Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports.
The PCM will coordinate the baselining of schedules and budgets. Additional duties include supervision of cost and schedule development, maintenance and monitoring activities including necessary reporting and analysis and setup of ePCWorks systems. Facilitation of a highly effective and timely change management program is essential as an early warning indicator. Reviews and approves Field Financial Summaries.
Candidates must be proactive in determining project direction and informing Corporate and Client management.
Job Quailfications
Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business , or equivalent experience. Experience with process plants and petrochemical facilities is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present data and analysis to PC, other groups,
Corporate Mgmt and Client Mgmt.
Leadership skills, supervisory skills, and the ability to adapt project controls principles into a multi-company environment is essential. A working knowledge of Primavera Project Planner and ePCWorks is required.
Familiarity with company standards, procedures, organization and automated systems preferred. Familiarity with international project execution is preferred.
Minimum 15 years combined experience in cost engineering, scheduling, estimating. |
