Job Description
STATEMENT OF WORK/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS FOR INITIAL REQUIREMENT; OR STATE CHANGES IF THIS IS A STO REVISION

The Training and Development Specialist will organize, facilitate, and conduct ESCG training programs for employees and managers, including the Jacobs Leadership Course and New Hire Orientation. The Training and Development Specialist will also be responsible for:

- Conducting training classes and developing measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
- Developing or adopting training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia presentations, computer tutorials, and reference works
- Managing ESCG training records in the Learning Management System (LMS) and providing training data to training coordinators
- Analyzing and tracking tuition reimbursement/training requests
- Collaborating with Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) on grants for specialized training requests and notifications
- Writing, maintaining, supporting and running a variety of training and development reports and queries, while ensuring data integrity
- Assisting in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs
- Performs other duties as required


LABOR CLASSIFICATION, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL/UNIQUE SKILLS

- Experience with HRIS (PeopleSoft)
- BS in Human Resources or related discipline from an accredited university
- 6 years experience
- Knowledge and experience in developing, analyzing and measuring professional education/technical training theory and practice
- Effective communication with employees and management in groups and individual settings
- Experience in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating instructional material for employee and management training
- Strong interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of management
- Knowledge of organizational development and the ability to assess training needs based on changes to policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies
- Experience with Microsoft Suite and Learning
Management System (LMS)
- Ability to manage multiple programs, as well as create and deliver professional presentations
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and perform duties with minimal direction
