| Job Description |
Weight Control Engineer is responsible for expediting the Weight list from the responsible Engineers the week before the submission of the weight control report. Sufficient notice shall be given to the Responsible Engineer to effectively plan and execute the weight control activity. The weight Control engineer develops the weight control report, identify any overruns by contingency and reports the trend over time of the provided data.
Education: BS in Engineering
At the end of the project the Weight control Engineer will be responsible for making sure the "As-Builds" information has been incorporated in the last report and reasons for any discrepancies between the budget weight at the initiation of the weight control and the last report are fully documented.
Weight control Engineer will report to the Project manager, with CC to Project engineer, and Lead Engineers, the structural Design and Cost control.
Weight control Engineer must have knowledge in:
-Feasibility of a project by deadweight Check.
-Light ship weight report
-Mitigate weight overruns.
-Light Ship Weight, Dead weight (DW), Dead weight Survey), GCS. , LCS
-Knowledge of AMEC WEMS software (is a plus).
-Validation of weight control.
-Facilitate the yard and /or offshore installation in establishing the antipated lift weights
-Experience in TLP, FPSO, Spars ( is a plus)
