| Job Description |
We currently seek a high caliber Senior Level WebSphere Administrator for a contract hire posting within our client’s team of experienced professionals. Based in Greenville, SC.
Job Description:
• Installing, configuring and managing Websphere 6.x in both Windows and UNIX.
• Perform complete systems admin and support WebSphere Application Server and IHS.
• Will be responsible for new installs, configurations, builds, and implementation
• Supporting development, testing, production environments
• Automate repetitive processes with scripts
• Research and identify solutions for issues related to the WebSphere platform.
• Strong troubleshooting skills a must. Ability to work successfully and productively independently or collaboratively in a team
• Prepare documentations and train new team members
• Implement proactive monitoring and performance tuning of WebSphere Application Server.
• Responsible for understanding the entire Code of Conduct and complying with its requirements
• Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
• **MUST be a US Citizen for this Government project**
• Extensive knowledge of WebSphere 6.0.x Network Deployment and WebSphere 6.1.x Network Deployment in Windows environment, 3+ years experience
• Experience with WebSphere clustering - Experience with HIS
• Experience with WebSphere system performance tuning and monitoring
• A good understanding of concepts related to web server load balancing and other application scaling concepts.
• Extensive knowledge of IBM HTTP Server that will be used with WebSphere 6.1.x.
• Successful completion of upgrades in the IBM WebSphere environments
• Working knowledge of JDBC connectivity from WebSphere to Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Active Directory.
• Working knowledge of SSL.
• Must have significant experience in J2EE application deployment using IBM’s WebSphere.
• Experience in the development of project documentation (functional specifications, technical specifications, test plans, etc.)
• Experience with Scripted Application Deployment
• Expert level Troubleshooting and Change Management skills
• Experience Supporting Maximo a huge plus
• Computer Sciences Degree is a plus.
