Job Description
Our client, a multi-descipline engineering firm in oil and gas, seeks an Instrument & Electrical Designer.

Responsibilities and Requirements include:

-A.A. or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.

-Proficient with DOS and AutoCAD 13, AutoCAD 14 or AutoCAD 2000.

-Field experience is required.

-Draft detailed construction drawings, topographical profiles and related maps and specifications used in planning and construction of civil engineering projects.

-Review rough sketches and other engineering data received from discipline designers, as well as Draw finished designs from sketches.

-Knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings.

-Make adjustments or changes necessary or directed by designer.

-Inks in lines and letters on pencil drawings as required.

-Draw charts for representation of statistical data, as well as lot maps and charts showing profiles and cross sections, indicating relation of topographical contours and elevations to buildings, retaining walls, tunnels, overhead power lines and other structures.

-Draft detailed drawings of structures and installations such as roads, culverts, fresh water supply, sewage disposal systems, dikes, wharfs, breakwaters and petroleum processing facility equipment such as piping and module layout.

-Compute volume of tonnage of excavations and fills, and prepare graphs and hauling diagrams used in earthmoving operations.

-Participate in field trips to collect data required for revision of construction drawings

Benefits:
-A Per Diem Split seven days a week up to the maximum federal allowance, which is:
-$188/day seven days a week from September 16th through April 30th.
-$278/day seven days a week from May 1st through September 15th. This is not in addition to your base rate.
-A Settling Allowance of $1,500 once a contractor completes 520 straight time hours.
-A Retention Bonus of $1,500 every time a contractor accrues 2,000 straight time hours.
-A Travel Allowance of $750 every time a contractor accrues 360 straight time hours.
