| Job Description |
Our client, an offshore oil and gas company, seeks a Telecommunications Engineer.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
-Develop telecommunication system specifications for new construction offshore projects such as semi-submersibles and jack up drilling rigs, drill ships, vessels and other offshore facilities
-Prepare RFQ and evaluate telecom systems equipment for compliance with the requirements of design, construction and any other contractual specifications
-Develop, conduct and monitor the basic design and detailed engineering, procurement, FAT, construction and commissioning of all telecommunication systems on offshore facilities
-Review test procedures and attend factory acceptance tests for telecom system equipment to confirm the system supplied meets the project telecom system philosophies
-Travel to construction shipyards to monitor the installation of telecom equipment and systems
-Provide assistance during start up and performance tests, as needed
-Bachelors Degree in Telecommunications/Electronics Engineering or equivalent
-Minimum 3 years design, construction, and commissioning of offshore telecommunications systems
-Autocad experience preferred |
