Job Description
Our client, a major engineering and construction company, seeks a Control Systems Principal Designer.

Responsibilities/Requirements include:

-10 years of experience as a Control Systems/Instrument Designer required.

-Experience working with Intools (SPI) with Wiring Module, Instrument Installation, or as an Fire & Gas Systems Designer.

-Two year Technical degree preferred.

-CADD drafting/design utilizing AutoCAD and/or MicroStation required.

-Familiar with 3D Modeling utilizing PDS, PDMS, Smart Plant Review, Equipment modeling or Review Reality required.

-Familiar in utilizing Integrated Instrument database, INtools, Rebis, etc, required.

-Prepare complete design, layouts, and checking of Control Systems deliverables for moderately complex projects.

-Interpret and apply codes, job procedures, standards, and specifications, as well as interface with other design disciplines.

-Understand and utilizes CADD systems and performs manual drafting, as well as the Integrated Instrument Database for development of Instrument Design Index, Cable Schedules, Wiring Schedules/drawings, etc.

-Interpret and perform squad check of vendor drawings and drawings from other disciplines for Control Systems needs and compatibilities of design.

-Understand Instrument Material and equipment and applies/develops Installation Details as required by project specifications.

-Actively participate in Knowledge Community and other available resources, as well as department training programs/seminars and on-line training.

-Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals.
