| Job Description |
Our client in the houston area seeks a Principal Designer.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
-Prepare piping layouts and conceptual designs for difficult and complex problems
-Prepare complex piping design drawings
-Interface with other design disciplines
-Be proficient in 2D and 3D CAD capabilities
-Work independently with little or no supervision
-Check complex piping design drawings
-Perform squad check of vendor equipment drawings and drawings from other disciplines
-Assist the Piping Design Supervisor
-Provide guidance and mentorship to lower-classification piping designers
-Communicate, both verbally and in written form in a professional manner
-Evaluate Performance Appraisal input and administer counseling
-Travel, as required, to ensure the successful execution of project and department goals
-Participate in Piping department training programs/seminars and on-line training
-Two-year technical degree preferred
-Fifteen plus years of piping design experience
-Piping design experience preferred
-Experience in PDS, SmartPlant Review, Microstation, and AutoCAD preferred
-Field experience |
