Job Description
Our client, in the petrochemical-refinery industry, seeks an Assistant Risk Manager.

Responsibilities and Requirements include:

-Support the Legal Department and Contracts Department relative to insurance and risk management issues, and the Regional Field Operations Business Units through contract review, analysis, drafting and negotiation, insurance policy review and analysis.

-Participate as a member of due diligence team reviews for business acquisitions, and assist the Manager of Global Risk Management in every aspect of the Managers responsibilities.

-Responsible for quality control and problem resolution, and post carrier claim analysis and financial close-out.

-Interface with insurance carriers regarding coverage, contracts, and claims issues, as well as review and approval of risk management and claims administration related invoices.

-Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, and able to use of the Risk Management Information Systems.

-Analyze and report on Risk management issues with recommendations to Global Risk Management, Corporate HSE, Legal and Regional Field Operations Business units.

-Participate in review and analysis of actuarial reports as required, and act in a managerial role for management of domestic workers compensation claims.

-Assist with the development, implementation and administration of the company’s various insurance plans and insures adherence to regulatory compliance relative to the administration of those programs.

-Participate in the acquisition, evaluation, and management of vendor performance, as well as prepare and present presentations related to insurance and risk management related issues.

-Acts as project leader on assigned projects, and assist with renewal submission data.

-Interface with and support all levels of Executive Management, Global Risk Management, Regional Field Operations and subsidiaries, as well as provide supervisory direction to subordinate Risk Management staff as appropriate.

-Interface with local and regional office contracts management group and project team leaders relative to risk management and insurance contractual issues.

-Interface with appropriate HSE personnel and supports the global legal department.

-Interface with and supports the Non-North America Risk Management Department.
