| Job Description |
Our client, in the petrochemical-refinery industry, seeks a Project Lead Civil Field Engineer - Coker.
Responsibilities and Requirements include:
-Minimum 6 to 10+ years of experience.
-Coker experience is required.
-Previous experience as a Lead Civil Field Engineer is preferred.
-Engineerdegree is preferred but may be waived if the candidate has suitable technical working experience.
-Report directly to Project Field Engineer, and monitor civil/structural activities occurring in all areas of the Motiva CEP .
-Provide functional oversight of civil/structural work processes and acts as project assigned, as well as provide technical directions to areas relative to excavation, concrete, and structural steel installation.
-Review Field Changes and deficiency reports for trends and common problems/issues, and act as a single point of contact for Client technical personnel.
-Update Civil and Structural project procedures and Inspection and Test Plans, as required, and prepare and deliver civil/structural related training courses and material.
-Act as a clearing house for lessons learned between areas and corporate, and assist with development of subcontractor scopes of work, pricing exhibits and drawings logs.
-Participate in bid evaluation for civil related subcontracts, as well as provide problem resolution and inspection of field installations that are common across multiple areas.
-Assist with monitoring batch plant operations, as required, and prepare reports and forecasts for the civil and structural discipline.
-Coordinate Civil/Structural Field Engineering staffing needs amongst the multiple areas, and work with the project survey team to coordinate work schedule to stay ahead of construction and the schedule.
-Work with the concrete, rebar, and formwork suppliers to ensure compliance with project drawings and specifications.
-Prepare permanent plant material requisitions, coordinate and review vendor drawings from embedment and rebar vendors.
-Work with Procurement expediting team to ensure the delivery of vendor materials to support the project schedule.
-Manage the soils and material testing lab to support construction schedule.
-Work with Construction Assurance and Field Procurement to ensure required PMI testing is performed at the warehouse prior to material being released for installation.
-Track permanent plant items received.
-Knowledge of TEAMWorks database and BPS is preferred.
-Knowledge of construction procedures, and able to formulate a working relationship with other departments and contractors.
-Knowledge of multi-discipline construction operation, and of supervisory functions relating to field activities.
-Able to prepare lift data sheets for medium lifts. |
